How to be an expert

Found a very interesting report written by some scientists on what it takes to be an expert. The report is kind of long but I promise you, it is really worth reading.

Title: The role of deliberate practice in the acquisition of expert perfomance

The report suggests that anyone really can be an expert on everything, it’s all about practice. And it does show some interesting facts on how the best violinists practice way more than average.

I personally think that they are dead on. I also believe in starting early and to not get the wrong habits, like watching to much TV, partying to much, lack of discipline etc.

What do you think?
