Smart people?

I just read an article on how to fool smart people by Paul.

In it he describes how you can fool smart people to believe in you by showing them alot of information you know they won’t understand. The thing is, Paul says, they will never admit the won’t understand what are presented to them, and because of that, they will think that it’s some brilliant stuff that are presented.

Well, my view is a bit different. How smart are you if you are not asking questions on something you don’t understand? Is that smart? Wouldn’t it be smarter to learn what they mean instead?

So, my title on that article, rather then “how to fool smart people”, would be “how to fool people who think they are smart”, or “how to fool people who want to present them as smart”.

For me, smart people are people asking questions. People that are hungry to know what they don’t. People that put themselves in situations they are not comfortable with, to develop themselves and get new inputs.

But then again, I guess the word “smart” has as many definitions as there are people. What’s your definition of being smart?
